Which Bracelet for Which Style?

Bracelets are style essentials. At Bäumer, bracelets come in all shapes: bangles, mesh, cords, and ID bracelets; and in all colors: white, yellow, pink, black, red, or blue. Each piece of jewelry offers complete ranges for all styles, bringing sobriety and elegance. Bracelets are also one of the masterpieces of High Jewelry at Bäumer. For example, the new Gourmandise Autumn collection features an autumn garden with fruit-shaped stones: one can see citrines or smoky quartz, cut into bead shapes. Bäumer's High Jewelry bracelets offer a chic and original style.

Which bracelet for my wrist type?

Different types of bracelets adapt to wrist size. For a thin wrist, it is advisable to choose equally thin jewelry. The essentials from Maison Bäumer are perfect, as we offer delicate gold chains, elegant and feminine bangles, and cord bracelets (grey, black, navy blue, red, white). The women's collectionPense à MoiorBattement de Cœur, for example, comes in all shapes for all wrists.

Conversely, for a stronger arm, it is sometimes better to choose a thicker item, such as the titanium models from Maison Bäumer Vendôme.

**What bracelet to get a man?**

For men, the bangle is a must-have. Its thickness adds a touch of virility to the jewelry while offering a large surface area for brilliance. A bangle in light metal like silver or white gold perfectly complements a masculine style that appeals to women. A silver bangle bracelet will be more affordable. A chained bracelet with large or medium curb-style links can also be very appealing. And finally, for a more relaxed and lighter style, a black or red cord is perfect. Indeed, dark and discreet shades are very suitable for both work and home, matching perfectly with all outfits, whether casual or dressed up. Certain stones are also very popular. The essentials are tiger's eye and lapis lazuli, which can be found in bead or plaque form, and can be purchased at more reasonable prices. The black pearl is also a rare mineral and extremely popular in men's jewelry, offering elegance and mystery. At Bäumer Vendôme, the men's collection offers many pieces of jewelry to discover, as well as accessories that will perfectly match, such as brooches, tie clips, watches, or cufflinks.

How do I clean my bracelet?

There are multiple ways to clean it, depending on the material. In most cases, cleaning should be done carefully. This can be done at a jewelry store (polishing, rhodium plating), but a few simple techniques will allow you to clean your jewelry directly at home.

To clean yellow gold and restore its shine, you can wash it with simple, inexpensive products:

- water with Marseille soap for all types of metal

- toothpaste, letting it dry then rinsing with lukewarm water between the links

- water and baking soda

- white vinegar or a little dish soap in lukewarm water

As with silver, there are also special wipes that can be purchased directly from any jeweler.

For white and rose gold, it is important to clean them more delicately to preserve their color. Their maintenance therefore requires more care: we advise soaking the gold part in a bowl of lukewarm soapy water for 1 to 2 minutes maximum; then wiping it with a soft, clean cloth. This softer and more attentive care will preserve all the brilliance of the gold. It is also advisable to have a new rhodium plating applied every 1 or 2 years to maintain the whiteness of the gold.

For a chain ID bracelet, it is advisable to gently clean the space between each link with a soft toothbrush to remove any small deposits.

For a fabric or leather bracelet, it is best to avoid prolonged contact with water so that it does not retain moisture. It is important to dry the fabric thoroughly after cleaning. Indeed, if moisture develops, the fabric will be more fragile and bacteria can easily develop there. A leather bracelet, on the other hand, can become stained or weakened after contact with water or alcohol.

Finally, for jewelry adorned with stones such as tiger's eye, opal, or with pearls, it is important to take special precautions: hot water can damage minerals, or too prolonged contact with water. It is also advisable not to use too oily soap, which will attack the chemical composition of certain minerals.

What material should I choose for my bracelet?

Gold gives jewelry great longevity and a superb shine. Yellow gold is the most resistant to chemicals, as are white and rose gold. Nevertheless, with proper precautions and maintenance, the latter two are choices that offer a unique shine and an original mesh.

Fabric or leather bracelets offer great lightness. Their price is also lower. Although this material is less resistant, its ease of use offers the possibility of changing colors at will for a constant touch of novelty.

Each Bäumer House bracelet also features essential materials for innovation, such as a titanium or blackened gold collection. Titanium offers great strength and lightness, and due to its chemical properties, it has extensive color possibilities (blue, orange, gray, red). It is also used in beads, or in the form of plates or mesh. Titanium mesh gives metal bracelets a unique appearance. Sterling silver is a lower-priced alternative to gold. It can offer a beautiful luster but tends to oxidize easily. Its lower preciousness makes it less suitable for pairing with expensive crystals like ruby or sapphire. Conversely, silver is found in mesh or bangles and pairs well in plates with leather, or with beads.

Finally, the choice of stone adorning the bracelet is one of the crucial steps. For a small bracelet, discreet stones like small diamonds or a pearl are very chic and an excellent choice. For larger pieces, a beautiful stone can perfectly match the entire piece of jewelry and enhance the person wearing it. A large aquamarine, as in the Black Magic Supernova model, adds a superb touch of originality and enhances a woman's outfit.

How to organize your bracelets?

To store them properly, it is necessary to take into account how the bracelet is made so as not to damage its mesh or bend the metal. For this, the best way is to attach them to a cylindrical support that takes the shape of your wrist. This can be in the open air, but the ideal is a closed box out of the sun, with, if possible, a chamois leather to protect the gold and minerals. It is also advisable to avoid metal supports. Indeed, these can scratch your jewelry pieces. So always choose velvet, leather, or soft fabric supports to preserve the condition of your precious metals and to avoid tangling the mesh. Pearls require essential attention as they are more fragile.

A women's bracelet as a gift

A bracelet is an ideal gift for a woman. It goes perfectly with all styles and is easily adjustable. Indeed, links can be easily removed to shorten it, and fabric ones are adjustable. Unlike necklaces, it's easy to wear several, creating infinite combinations of choice and novelty. A simple design (a pearl, a heart) is sometimes very effective and at a more reasonable price. The chained heartbeat or inseparable models are wise choices for a gift for a woman. Their sobriety and elegance are very appealing and easily match all outfits and all seasons. They can also be combined with earrings, rings, or necklaces from the same collections, thus creating a whole set.
