You can also simply soak it, rinse it, and then gently rub it in water with a few lemon zests to restore the original shine to your metals.

For white gold jewelry, special attention is recommended. Indeed, the shine of the jewelry comes from the thin layer of rhodium placed on the ring. Over time, this thin layer of rhodium wears off and makes the shine of your jewelry much duller. Thus, a new rhodium plating is recommended every five years by a professional so that the metal can regain its original brilliance.

You can also opt for a cleaning product specially designed for this purpose. Whatever the brand, size, and model of your jewelry, be careful not to use any chemicals as they may alter its brilliance.

Regarding precious stones, although they have high hardness and solidity, some are still fragile and can easily scratch or break. Therefore, special attention must be paid to these jewels.

For example, to clean your diamonds, dish soap with a soft toothbrush may be enough to revive their brilliance.

On the other hand, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds are stones that require more meticulous care because they can easily scratch and lose their luster. For this, never use chemicals or toothbrushes that could scratch and alter the quality of your stones. Also, avoid toothpaste on the stones or metals of your jewelry.
